Dave wil de drie succesvolle eekhoorns Alvin, Simon, en Theodore naar school sturen. Wat Dave niet weet is dat de drie eekhoorns zich naast de mensen niet thuis voelen. Ondertussen, wordt Ian vrijgelaten uit de gevangenis en is op zoek naar dieren die goed kunnen zingen en dansen. But the Chipmunks unexpectedly meet their match in three singing chipmunks known as The Chipettes -– Brittany, Eleanor and Jeanette.
